What you find nearby
We are located in Pontecchio Marconi, a fraction of Sasso Marconi in the province of Bologna, a city rich in history.
Easily reachable from the property on foot there are numerous historical complexes:
Palazzo de' Rossi, a sumptuous late-Gothic style residence dating back to the 15th century;
the Village of Colle Ameno the "Ideal City", an ancient village that is coming back to life between art spaces and spaces dedicated to memory;
Villa Griffone, where the young Guglielmo Marconi made his first experiments and which gives the city its name, which has now become a museum on radio communication.
There are many naturalistic oases: the closest Oasis of San Gherardo rich in species at risk of extinction and from which the Roman Aqueduct, which can still be visited today, starts; the Park of the Chiusa which takes its name from the Lock on the Rhine, built in the fourteenth century, is the oldest hydraulic monument in Europe, included in the UNESCO heritage in 2010, and from which originate the Canals of Bologna that artificially bring water throughout the city; from the nearby municipality of Marzabotto we find the vast Monte Sole Park which extends over three municipalities for over 6 thousand hectares and which gathers countless naturalistic and historical paths.
Just 500 meters from the property we find the Ponte di Vizzano which is the crossroads of two important paths: the Via degli Dei which connects Bologna to Florence and the Via della Lana e della Seta which connects Bologna to Prato.
